Vegascheap.ly was built on WordPress as a proof on concept. When sites like Groupon were still in there infancy I worked with a small team to create a social buying site targeted at residents of, and people traveling to Las Vegas. Using WordPress as quick prototyping tool allowed me to quickly build a fully functioning site that allowed us to sell items via Paypal. As it turns out this type of business model requires many sales associates to create a steady stream of offers. The business was not successful but the site worked beautifully and allowed the team to explore this business opportunity.
